In celebration of the upcoming release of THE 27 RUN: CLASH, Portland’s premier modern-historic movie palace will feature a special screening of the beloved sci-fi/comedy film ‘Galaxy Quest‘!

On Sunday, April 12th, the place to be is at The Hollywood Theatre in Portland, OR. Co-hosted by Cosmic Monkey Comics, Battle Quest Comics, and Bricker-Down Productions, the evening will kick off with the short animated trailer for THE 27 RUN: CLASH series, and then proceed with the most perfectly scripted, acted, and filmed comedy sci-fi film of all time. If you haven’t seen GALAXY QUEST, you must. If you have seen GALAXY QUEST, why the heck wouldn’t you watch it again in the greatest theater in the known universe?!?

SIGNING STARTS AT 2PM!

Prior to the start of the film, a special gathering of creators will be on-hand at The Hollywood for an exclusive signing appearance! Meet creator & writer of THE 27 RUN: CLASH, Justin Zimmerman, who has partnered with Secret Room Press to bring some limited edition risograph prints. Justin will be joined by CLASH #0 cover artists Leila Del Duca, Ethan Claunch, Wren McSherry, Robbi Rodriguez, and Phil Gillis.

In the case of Gillis’s cover art contribution, Zimmerman shared how a happenstance encounter led to his eventual contribution.

I was at Crafty Wonderland with my wife last year and we saw a cool kid selling original monster drawings. I was in immediately, especially because his art and designs were so inventive! So, I hired him for his first commission – I told him to draw any monster he wanted from my series. He doesn’t know it, but he’ll be signing too… and pro colorist Carlos Lopez colored the piece.

Cosmic Monkey Comics is behind the exclusive THE 27 RUN: CLASH #0 which features a cover by superstar illustrator Leila Del Duca! The only way to get your hands on this limited edition comic book is to attend the ‘Galaxy Quest‘ screening – where every attendee will score a FREE copy!

VIEWING STARTS AT 2:30PM!
